The American Psychoanalytic Foundation is dedicated to the advancement of psychoanalysis though community outreach, education, research, and clinical programs.

The Foundation's mission is to educate the public, the community of mental health workers, and allied disciplines about the relevance of psychoanalysis as a powerful therapeutic and research instrument whose applications span a wide range of understanding of individual behavior and cultural phenomena.

The Foundation also seeks to assist local Psychoanalytic Societies, Institutes, and Foundations in their commitments to educate psychoanalytic clinicians and in their services to their communities.

The American Psychoanalytic Foundation sponsored this site, but now exixts as a committee of the American Psychoanalytic Association
