THE KATAN TREATMENT CENTER OF THE CLEVELAND PSYCHOANALYTIC CENTER
is pleased to announce the 6th in the "Psychic Wounds and the Cycle of
Life" Symposium series, "Working Toward Peaceful Schools and
Communities" to take place on Saturday, October 12, 2002
at Eastern Campus, Cuyahoga Community College.The event is co-sponsored by the Katan Treatment Center, The Cleveland
Psychoanalytic Foundation, The Global Issues Resource Center at Cuyahoga
Community College and the Adolescent Consortium of Northeast Ohio of The
Center for Adolescent Health at Case Western Reserve University School
of Medicine.Stuart W. Twemlow, M.D. is keynote speaker: Modifying Violent
Communities by Enhancing Altruism: A Vision of Possibilities"A Panel of community leaders will respond to Dr. Twemlow and engage with
him and the audience in discussion. The Honorable Jane Campbell, Mayor
of Cleveland, will welcome the symposium.Following lunch, there will be 12 breakout session. These will be
interactive discussions and some will include students who are
participants in the featured programs. A list of panelists and breakout
