Aging).Mission: Build service capacity in geriatric mental health by providing
specialty training in unique aspects of mental health services for the aging
population.Audience: Experienced mental health professionals (e.g, clinical
psychologists, social workers, psychiatrists) wanting to move their
practices into the area of geriatric mental health; health care
professionals; attorneys; and graduate students planning on a career working
with older adults.Speakers: Hasker Davis (UCCS), Cathy Bodine (University of Colorado Health
Sciences Center), Jennifer Moye (VA Boston Healthcare System), Kathryn Kaye
(Colorado Neurological Institute), Thomas R. Cole (University of Texas
Health Sciences Center), Stacey Wood (Scripps College), and co-chairs Smyer
and QuallsSite: The historic Antlers Hilton, the only full-service hotel in downtown
Colorado Springs and fresh from a recent multimillion dollar renovation. The
Antlers Hilton offers beautiful views of Pikes Peak and the Rocky Mountains,
heated pool and spa, and first-class dining and conference services.Continuing Education: Sixteen (16) professional continuing education units
are available to psychologists through APA-Division 20, and to social
workers through the Colorado Chapter of the National Association of Social
Workers (NASW). One (1) graduate credit hour is available to graduate
students through the UCCS Extended Studies Program.Registration fee is $450 for professionals, $300 for post-doctoral fellows,
and $200 for graduate students. Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits are
tentatively approved for Colorado attorneys through the Colorado Supreme
Court Board of Continuing Legal and Judicial Education (final approval
