"HYPNOSIS IN THE DESENSITIZATION OF FEARS OF DYING," by Sam Hamburg.
*** With Commentaries by Robert Karlin and John Chaves.
*** This series is noteworthy, in part, for its demonstration of clinical expertise and wisdom in the context of a scholarly analysis of the history and evidence base for hypnotherapy and the implications for clinical practice and training.Previous publications include:
** 2005, Module 1 articles on multimodal therapy (Lazarus) and the pragmatic case study method (D. Fishman);
** 2005 Module 2 articles on cognitive-behavioral exposure treatment with three American troops in Iraq (Cigrang, Peterson, & Schobitz, with Commentaries by Nathan and Petronko);
** 2005, Module 3 articles on balancing supportive and insight-oriented, psychodynamic therapy with a client undergoing intense life stresses (Skean, with Commentaries by Goodheart and Miller); and
** 2006, Module 1 articles on a client participating in a manualized, cognitive-behavioral therapy group for his social phobia (Edwards & Kannan, with commentaries by S. Fishman, Sanderson, and Turk).
