My Mom is a severe alcoholic.30yrs of drinking. I'm 40 yrs old & have watched her drink herself to almost death many times. In the last 6wks she has developed severe memory loss. Alcohol Dementia. She is not herself anymore. Will she clear up in the next few months? We almost had to put her in a nursing home because she was acting so bizarre. The one day she snaps out of it. It comes & goes through out the day. It's wrong to say but she was better when she was drunk. She never acted like this. Can this come on so quickly??
