Discussion of Alcoholism
Re: alcohol and relationships

Nearly four years ago I began a relationship. We drank together frequently in the beginning, all of our social engagements envolved alcohol. As time passed we drank more frequently together. I began feeling depressed and began showing signs of alcohol degeneration; blacking out and verbally rambling about difficulties in our relationship, which I would not communicate otherwise. These are physical and mental Symptoms of Alcoholism. I am now in recovery, attending AA meetings and working with a therapist. This relationship had a very sad ending, but there is hope. To anyone who reads this message please know that if anyone in your life has a problem with alcohol, if you see the symptoms, please make them aware that there are people who can help them and meetings they can attend that can change their lives and make them feel whole again.
Love, Brenda
