Discussion of Alcoholism
Why he drinks?

Hi,
My boyfriend is an alcoholic. Although he has gone for treatment twice and has been attending AA meeting, he is still drinking. After he binges, he will feel extremely remorseful and depressed. He cannot identify the reason for drinking. He is always asking why he has to drink and I'm really clueless about this. He says he wants to stop badly but he just can't help it. The best he can manage is to stop of a period of about 10 days. Is there a way to help him? He has tried treatment and AA, but that did not seem to work very well. Could anyone suggest any other way to get him sober? Thanks.
Adelene
