your post is 18 months old. has it gotten better? odds are 100 to 0 no way.Alcoholism is a progressive desease, in other words it just keeps getting worse.
the biggest symptom is "denial", he can't even see he has a problem. that is why it is so hard to treat.untill he admits, to himself, that the problem is he cannot control his drinking, you or anyone else can not help him.
help is out there, all he has to do is "ask for it"
