My 46 year old sister-in-law was dropped on our doorstep in December. Her husband is in jail, and her mother passed at thanksgiving, she remembers neither of these occurances. She has alcohol dementia, she does not know who the president is, or even how old she is. She was a raging alcoholc for over 20 yrs., it is a horrible thing to deal with, but I have no choice, she is my husbands sister, and no one will help with her.
