Mind Matters
Mental Health Film Festival - Call for SubmissionsI wonder whether you can help. I am working in the programming of Mind Matters. It is a new film festival, organised by The Documentary Filmmakers Group and Mental Health Media. It is scheduled to run at the ICA in London in June 2003 and will screen films about various aspects of mental illness.
The festival will include different genre of films including authored narratives by ‘survivors’ of mental illness, feature films, documentaries, and films that cross boundaries, experimenting with both form and content. The selection of films, along with special talks, seminars and workshops, will all lead to an interesting and informed debate about the phenomena of mental illness, both in historical and contemporary times, both here in the UK, and across the world.
Could you recommend any programmes that you think could be of relevance for our festival? And who I should contact in order to get a little synopsis and a copy for viewing? (non English spoken films need to have English subtitles) I would be really grateful if you could help me! Thank you very much!
